My First Days At Work
I made it through my first two days at work rather well! To be honest, I was surprised that I held up pretty good overall. My first shift on Sunday was 8 hours and my second shift was 4 hours yesterday.
Sunday’s shift went quickly but I feared that I would be exhausted after only three hours. By the sixth hour I was started to feel rather fatigued, but the rest of the evening went quickly.
My IC didn’t act up and that surprised me also. Typically when I’m nervous my bladder seems to go into overdrive. I only went two times during my whole shift - once on break and once on lunch. Monday’s shift I went 2 times in four hours so I did a little better Sunday. But only going twice in 4 hours is great for an IC patient also. Many IC patients would give anything to only go twice in 4 hours!
So all in all, the first two days went better than expected and I hope I am able to keep it up for the long haul.

Congratulations on making back to work and through the first days. Rooting for you to keep it up for the long haul. I know getting back to work gave me a great feeling of independence and control over my life.
Thanks Blackbird! I hope too I can keep it up. I know I have been very tired after my shifts but in another way I feel exhilarated because I am actually doing it again.
