Fibromyalgia Video: Lisa’s Story
I was sent the link to the above video by a blogging friend (thanks Jeanne at Endo Blog!) and knew that I had to share it with others as she is doing.
The above video is by the husband of a Fibromyalgia patient who committed suicide because she couldn’t stand to live with the pain of her illness any longer. Lisa also wrote to her husband in her suicide note that one of the hardest parts of being sick was that the people who were closest to her didn’t understand her or believe what she was going through. How many of us can relate to that? I know I sure can.
I do not believe that suicide is the answer but doesn’t this prove how desperate people with FM and other chronic illnesses and chronic pain are? How many people have to die before doctors, society and the rest of the medical community get it?
